Makes sense...
In MORE Carson news, Aston Villa's Scott Carson has made the England team.

Now, for obvious reasons, I'd love an England jersey that says "Carson."

If they're ever made, could someone let me know?

Carson news. You hear it here first.

Oh, yeah. And some bloke called "Beckham" is back on the squad.

Says mine is Elementary School, oddly. Of course, a lot of the stuff is just links to places where the education requirements are a tad higher. :)

Oh, and this apparently makes "extropianism" a term suitable for elementary students. Man, grade school wasn't nearly as cool while I was in it!

Teh awesome!

Hey...could you e-mail me those animated Dork Tower files? I'd like to see if they'd run on dorktower.com where the normal ones usually do...

Dammit! I got elementary school! Is this because of my chronic misspellings?

You could get subside.us.com to customise a Carson shirt for you. (Or maybe kitbag.com, too.)

Sadly, as the dollar gets worth less, the football jerseys get more expensive. I think it would run a little over $100 for a current England shirt with official name and numbers.

Ah, but customizing a shirt would be New England Patrioting. I'm sorry. I mean "cheating." :-)

That would have been my suggestion too. Possibly the offical English FA site (http://www.thefa.com/default.aspx) will have a shop, or links to the official shop.

A work colleague has recommended http://www.jjbsports.com/ as a good bet, too.

Also, don't forget you'll need to get the 'keepers shirt rather than the outfield shirt. What's the betting they'll charge you more for that? ;^)

David Beckham's going to have a long commute - to think that I was concerned about driving from Bolton to Northwich for a new job... ;^)

Do I take it from this that you were City rather than United in your home town then?

I'll keep an eye out for official "Carson" England shirts, anyway :^)

I'm more for City than United, certainly. But my first football memories are from when we lived near Leicester, so I've a soft spot in my heart for Leicester City, to whose games we used to go regularly. Also have sort of adopted Arsenal, which is my sister's team. But at least I've a decent chance of seeing some of their games over here, on cable.

Scott Carson was number 22 in the 2006 World Cup Squad. We'll probably get to see him in action tonight and see his current number. You can order and personalise just such a jersey from the FA shop for £30, £10 off the regular price at the moment. It's an extra £7.50 for personalisation although it may be more if you write your own.

I'm sure delivery could be timed to coincide with Dragonmeet.

Football kits are a lot less than baseball uniforms.

That they are. I pick up a new one every World Cup.

AND they now can be found in XXL, too...

You could also try to get a Liverpool, Aston Villa or Leeds jersey with Carson on it as Scott has played for all these teams.

That's true...though getting an England jersey would be cooler, as I don't acually support any of those teams...

Liverpool was John Peel's team, though, so there's a bit of coolness there. :-)

Shops here in the UK that sell england shirts will press the number and name of your choice. They tend to only hold stock of big name players, so a Gerrard off the peg is easy, a Carson will be yougher.
