Dork Tower, Friday, May 9
Anybody have a Secret Power that could get me in a position to have a picture taken with Jemaine at Sunday's Flight of the Conchords show in Milwaukee? There's be much Dork Tower goodness in it for you, if you can help Make This Happen.

It's be a hoot.

Separated at birth. Well, birth plus ten years...

The Army of Dorkness has accomplished many amazing things over the years. This would be a rare feat, indeed.

It was a week of repeats on DorkTower.com, due in no small part to lots of large things going on, both in Real Life and Work Life.

Here's today's strip:

Happy Anniversary, honey!

And here's Monday's strip.

And Wednesday's strip.

Awwwww

That is all.

Well, and happy anniversary.
(PS I've only finally really listened to Jonathan Coulton. And just...win. And Re:Your Brains won't get out of my head. Ironic, that)

I used to play a fair amount of D&D but in the last couple of years the various groups I gamed with moved on.

I started dating [info]cressida42 last september and since then I've joined two of her gaming groups as well as her Buffy The Vampire Slayer CCG.

Occasionally I make her watch some of my artsy fartsy films and take walks with me. Talk about role reversal.

Don't suppose you've ever mentioned the "Widows of Warcraft" in any of your strips have you? It's a support group for well, those unfortunate souls dating gamers. We make plans on big raid nights together and have coffee while conspiring with techie friends on how to block Everquest and WOW from the routers while making it look like a bad internet connection so we can actually get some time with our men.

I was a member before um, well, yeah. I have a level 47 berzerker. Nuff said.

I have a horrible feeling I may have written the CoC adventure - can't think of many others in which characters get turned inside out! Were the Great Race of Yith involved?

Please pass on my apologies - unfortunately that's an adventure with a history of squicking people out much more than I intended, e.g. one of the first players turned out to be claustrophobic, and there is rather a lot in there to trigger that particular phobia.

Happy anniversary. :)

Loved the comic.

I met my husband about... oh... 14 years ago and our initial courtship consisted of me loaning him one of my RPG source books, and then us playing magic -- for ante of course!

Turns out the world is a very small place.

Congrats on 15 years!

P.S. Also the "dating a gamer is an art form" strip has always been one of my favourites.

Thank god you didn't use your comic strip to propose as well.. That would have made you look severely uncool and geeky.

Congrats, and I hope that whatever's keeping you from giving us free stuff is also stopping you from smiling.

I don't think this will help you get into the FotC show in Milwaukee, but I do know Kristen Schaal. And I know several people who've guest-starred on the show. And, of course, someone who auditioned for the show.

And but so STILL I've never met them, or seen them perform, or seen them hanging out at a bar, or anything. I don't know how Mel does it. :-)
